The role of Editor of a scientific lournal devoted to such a diversified field as chroma tography is not an easy one It is certainly no longer a role which can be mastered by one person -hence we are six But sixty times six would be a more appropnate num ber if we were to have theoretical and practical mastery of all aspects of chromatography This is where we draw upon the expertise and support of our adnsory board As the members of that board know, active participation in the renewing process is the way in which they help to shape the journal and it future Renewing manuscnpts is not always the most enloyable of tasks Yet so many of our Adnsory Board colleagues seem to find the time to do it with great thoroughness and fairness We would therefore hke to express our sincere gratitude to the members of the Adnsory Board hsted below and also to many other scientists of our acquamtance who have helped us in this way
