✦ Synopsis

A sensitive unit, designed and fabricated by the authors, for phosphorescence decay and thermoluminescence study of phosphors, is described. The distinguishing feature of this equipment is that it is a single unit suitable for the study of both phosphorescence decay and thermoluminescence over a wide temperature range 77 K to 150 K, and room temperature to 400 K. The warming rate for thermoluminescence study is linear for an appreciable time at liquid nitrogen temperature and at ambient temperature.
