β¦ Synopsis
In this paper, we present a two-stage test procedure for testing the hypothesis that the normal means are falling into a practically indi erent zone. Both the level and the power associated with the proposed test are controllable and are completely independent of the unknown variances. Relation to a single-stage procedure is discussed when the two-stage sampling procedure cannot be completely carried through. An example and tables needed for implementation are given.

Unlike traditional tests for mean-variance e ciency, this test allows for the possibility that short positions in the primitive assets may not be possible. Using this test, we cannot reject the hypo

We describe a simple, reproducible, and low-cost test for xerostomia, which involves chewing on a folded sterile sponge for 2 minutes. Saliva production is quantitated by weighing the sponge before and after chewing. Normal control subjects produced 22.75 gm of saliva in 2 minutes. Three of 32 conse
