โฆ Synopsis
In the present paper a new time-domain fundamental solution for axisymmetric scalar wave propagation problems is developed. The result is an analytical expression which can be used in boundary element formulations in a more accurate way than the numerical integration procedures known so far. The circumferential integration of the 3D fundamental solution, necessary to take into account the axisymmetry, is shown and two examples are presented in order to demonstrate the accuracy and the applicability of the new formulation.
