Abstract

In this paper we introduce an analytical expression for the acquisition time of a frequency detector used in OFDM systems. We present a useful “designing graph” which eliminates the need to simulate the whole system in order to obtain the optimal number of guard interval samples, that should be used by the frequency detector.
