The ever-growing range of designer drugs such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and other new antidepressants, atypical antipsychotic agents, and antiseizure medications may improve treatment efficacy and safety for persons with mood disorders and mental retardation (MR) and autism.
