✦ Synopsis

This paper attempts to analyze some of the different impeller parameters such as type, diameter and width utilized for Al MMC synthesis against the theoretical values based on chemical engineering principles. The non-wetting nature of the reinforcements with the liquid aluminum warrants mixing parameters different from those prescribed in chemical engineering handbooks.
