Sunmuu'y--The World Dynamics model proposed by Forrester can be greatly simplified under more or less normal conditions. Two simplified versions of this model are presented, one giving exactly the same results as the original model as long as nine key variables stay within their "normar' ranges, and

โฆ Synopsis
The World Dynamics model proposed by Forrester is analysed by total linearisation for the 1970 situation. It reveals the main structure of the model for a certain period of time around 1970. This structure has been verified by means of the original Forrester model, and a number of interesting conclusions about this model are drawn.
* This year was chosen as a kind of "worst case"; in the years between 1970 and 2000, the errors are smaller.
