✦ Synopsis
A device is described which corrects absorbances measured by the Vitatron TLD IOO Densitometer for the effect of light scattering (R + 0.4A2 factor). This permits quantitative densitometry of thin-layer chromatograms without the necessity of using very pale spots (low concentrations), thus increasing the accuracy and ver-. satility of the instrument. The system produced linear calibration curves for ,9-carotene and iodine-stained triolein.
