β¦ Synopsis
In this paper we present a preliminary analysis of a model concerning the behaviour of building structures. The work focuses on the analogy of building structures and cellular materials, and assumes that building structures are macroscopic versions of cellular materials. This assumption is then exploited using the SAND program and it is shown that for an open ceil building structure, (E/E;) = (0.1681 + 0.57i7)@/p3'~'f'9*0~'6~, where (E/Q is the relative elastic modulus of the building strncture and ~~~~) is the relative density of the building.

Comparing and subsequently classifying protein structures information has received significant attention concurrent with the increase in the number of experimentally derived 3-dimensional structures. Classification schemes have focused on biological function found within protein domains and on struc
