An extension of the alias sampling technique for distribution functions depending on a number of parameters was developed. It takes advantage of modern computer architectures with large amounts of cheap memory, by using discrete representations of probability distribution functions. The sampling is

## A etudy is made of the behaviour of the linear diecriminant function in the cleeeification of an . observation when sampling from a truncated normal distribution. It is ahown that the truncation prove% 'beneficial' in that it reduces the error retea.
