✦ Synopsis

Abstraet--A novel predictor-corrector method is developed for the numerical solution of fourth order parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs) occuring in the deflection of a Euler-Bernoulli beam hinged at both ends. The scheme is fourth order accurate in time and computationally efficient on serial or parallel machines as compared to implicit methods.
