โฆ Synopsis
A numerical scheme for the calculation of the electrostatic force between identical charged surfaces in an (a: b) electrolyte and in a mixed solution of (a: b) and (c: d) electrolytes is proposed. Since electrolytes of various valances are usually present in the liquid phase, the proposed algorithm is highly desirable for practical applications. The complexities and inconveniences of obtaining the distribution of the electrical potential between two surfaces can be circumvented by resorting to the present numerical scheme. 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
