Abstract

An accurate tuning method using a short‐ended dummy cavity is presented for dual‐mode cavity filters. Tuning is based on the match of the computed and measured phase responses of the reflection coefficient. An equivalent circuit model is adopted for computing the required phase response of the reflection coefficient. This method is applied to a 4‐pole longitudinal dual‐mode filter for demonstration. Good agreement is found between the experimental and computed responses. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A simple method for a K‐band substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filter with dual‐mode response quasi‐elliptic function response is designed, fabricated, and measured around 20 GHz. By using an orthogonal input and output (I/O) feed‐line and adjusting a perturbation, the proposed filte

The dual formulation of the multiple reciprocity method (MRM) is employed to solve the acoustic mode of a cavity with a thin partition. In order to avoid the spurious eigenvalues and non-uniqueness of the solution in the case of zero thickness for the partition, the hypersingular equation for MRM is

In this investigation, we propose and demonstrate experimentally tunable and stable dual-wavelength erbium doped fiber (EDF) double-ring laser scheme using different coupling losses inside cavity loop for wavelength and mode spacing tuning. Besides, a shorter unpumped EDF is also used to filter the
