## Abstract **Summary:** The chain length dependence of the addition‐fragmentation equilibrium constant (__K__) for cumyl dithiobenzoate (CDB) mediated polymerisation of styrene has been studied via high level ab initio molecular orbital calculations. The results indicate that chain length and penu
