Abstract
Ammonium metavanadate (NH~4~VO~3~) is an inexpensive, efficient and mild catalyst for the synthesis of 2,4,5βtriarylβ1__H__βimidazole from the oneβpot threeβcomponent condensation of benzil/benzoin, an aldehyde and ammonium acetate in excellent yield. This method has the advantages of good yield, green catalyst, simple procedure, much faster reactions. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2011).
