Abstract
The title amino steroids have been synthesized from hecogenine acetate 10. The known convenient route for the synthesis of conanine derivatives involving as the key step a Hofmann‐Loeffler cyclization in a 20a‐methylaminopregnane structure revealed successful in the present case where the starting steroid system beared an oxygen function in the neighbourhood of the reaction sites.
