Purpose: Drug therapy of ulcerative colitis (UC) is associated with unpleasant side effects and its efficacy decrease with chronic use. Leukocyte-derived inflammatory cytokines are suspected to be major factors in the initiation and perpetuation of UC. Accordingly, leukocytes should be appropriate t
