## Abstract 4‐(1,1‐Dicyanoethylazo)benzyl methacrylate (**3**), a new azo‐monomer, was copolymerized with styrene, methacrylonitrile, and methyl methacrylate (MMA) giving azo‐copolymers. The compositions of the copolymers from **3** and MMA were nearly identical with those of the monomer mixtures.
