โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A simple alternative way to position dielectric materials in the finiteโdifference timeโdomain (FDTD) Yee cell grid is proposed. Planeโwave illuminated spheres are used as examples to study the performance of the alternative method compared to the standard FDTD method. Although the performances are generally equally good, the alternative method may sometimes give significantly improved accuracy. ยฉ 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This article presents an efficient tensor based finiteโdifference timeโdomain (FDTD) scheme for modeling sloped interfaces in lossy media. The formulated scheme achieves its improved efficiency by implicitly solving the internal fields affected by an interface. This permits the reductio

As systems for computer-aided design and production of mechanical parts have developed there has arisen a need for techniques for the comprehensive description of the desired part, including its three-dimensional shape. The creation and manipulation of shapes is generally known as Geometric Modellin
