Methods
All worms were collected from a specific site at a local cold water spring. The worms have been tentatively identified (from Pennak, '53) as Dlugesin dorotocephnla. The stock cultures of worms are fed raw beef liver once a week and are kept at room temperature (around 25ยฐC) in shallow pans of a standard salts solution: 1 X M KC1, 1 X M NaCl. and 1 x 10-6 M disodium versenate.
