✦ Synopsis

In this paper, the concept of almost N-compactness in L-fuzzy topological spaces is introduced. The characterizations of almost N-compact sets are systematically discussed. It is showed that the fuzzy almost continuous image of an almost N-compact set is an almost N-compact set. It is proved that the almost N-compactness is a "good extension".
