✦ Synopsis

Effect of Alloxan was studied on a nitrogen-fixing blue-green alga: Westiellopsis prolifrca in pure cultures. Concentrations of Alloxan, io µg to 50 µg/ ml stimulate the growth of the alga and increase the chlorophyll, carotin and phycocyanin content of the cultures .
