The genus name StaSfia Heinrich, 1999 published for a Jurassic allotherian mammal from Tendaguru, Tanzania, is preoccupied by Staffa Schubert, 1911 (Protista, Foraminifera). A replacement name, Allostafiu, is proposed here.
