DNA specimens isolated from the blood samples of 209 unrelated Chinese persons were characterised with four probes, i.e. MS1 (D1S7), YNH24 (D2S44), pH30 (D4S139) and TBQ7 (D10S28), in conjunction with the restriction enzyme HaeIII to establish a population DNA-profile database. Each locus showed a f

β¦ Synopsis
Allele frequency distributions of four hypervariable minisatellite loci were obtained from a large sample of individuals in the London area. The sample is subdivided into three major ethnic groups; Caucasian, Afro-Caribbean and Asian, and histograms for these groups are displayed for comparison. The distributions are discussed in relation to mutation rates, heterozygosity and the computer analysis and processing of results.

## Abstract Oviductins are highβmolecularβweight glycoproteins specifically secreted by the oviduct. These proteins bind to the zona pellucida of the ovulated oocyte and remain associated with the embryo during its transit in the oviduct. They may be involved in fertilization and early embryonic de
