✦ Synopsis
Book reviews microfibrils, was discovered in 1986 by Lynn Sakai and the elucidation of its role in Marfan's disease has been heralded in major journals, such as Nature (1 991,352,279).
The illustrations are remarkably good and thorough for a 'guidebook' and, as mentioned above, many of the articles are written in a very engaging fashion. Thus, the book, as the editors hope, should serve as an excellent base for future updating of entries by computer. The authors will be asked to add new information on their protein(s) to a Gopher Internet program that will be accessible to all. The editors are to be complimented especially for this effort, as computerized updating of biological nomenclature will be surely be the way to go in keeping up with these exploding vocabularies.
