✦ Synopsis

A methodology to place and stretch long DNA molecules by coupling dip‐pen Nanolithography with molecular combing is presented. Templates were fabricated on SiO__~x~__ surfaces using a positively charged polymer, poly(allylamine hydrochloride). Upon molecular combing, DNA molecules elongate on the surface (for example, see Figure) and are localized by the presence of the charged lithographically defined structures.
