The Weir Group plc is buying the Linatex group of companies, the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based provider of wear-resistant products to the mining, sand and aggregates industries, in a US$200 million transaction.
Weir says that the Linatex acquisition is in line with its strategy to grow its global capability, expand its emerging market footprint and strengthen its aftermarket presence.
