โฆ Synopsis
Danish biomimetic membrane company Aquaporin A/S realised a loss of DKR4.0 million, which is in line with expectations. Key achievements for Aquaporin during the 2009/2010 financial year include funding from the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation, the European Commission and the Environmental and Water Industrial Foundation in Singapore; new headquarters and a development centre in Copenhagen, Denmark; a new development project at Nanyang Technological University's Singapore Membrane Technology Centre, and the approval of a number of patents. An Asian subsidiary is also being established.
Aquaporin CEO Peter Holme Jensen said: "The Aquaporin management group is very pleased with the progress we have experienced over the past year. We have created the ideal foundation for completing the development and commercialisation of the Aquaporin membrane technology on an international level."
In the coming year the company will be developing the Aquaporin membrane technology internationally and expects to conclude its first strategic partnership agreement on product development with an international industrial partner.
Aquaporin is a 70%-owned subsidiary of the M Goldschmidt Holding Group.
