✦ Synopsis

Catalysts Division. This positive business performance resulted largely from a continuing rise in the demand for petrochemical catalysts in Asia, South Africa, and the Middle East. The increase in EBIT was due mainly to the strong market position held by the innovative catalyst portfolio, high capacity utilization in the production plants in the wake of business expansion, as well as the successive transfer of price rises for raw materials, especially metal compounds, to customers.
