On Thursday the 29th there was almost a repeat performance without the wind. The streets of Antalya were 10 cm deep in water. On returning home I noticed that the abnormal weather for Turkey lasted into January with snow at unheardof southern locations. It would seem that the UK was to blame with an anticyclone of exceptionally high pressure (1045 mbar) over us. Figure 1 shows the retreating cold front on the afternoon of 29 November.
