✦ Synopsis
The influence of the chemical and textural properties of several aluminium orthophosphates catalysts in the esterification of acetic acid with n-amyl alcohol is studied. The surface area but not the number of acid site of the catalyst is the determinant property in the catalytic activity. The influence in the yield of the water present in the medium isanalyzed.
