A method to determine electron affmities from endothermic electron detachment rates iz nonthermal electrica! fields is descrikd. Special reference is made to the reaction 0" + 01 -+ 0 + 02 + e. A recently defmed temperature is also applicable here.

โฆ Synopsis
Application of large electric fields to solutions of poly (benzyl-L-glutamate) in dfozan in addition to a saturation effect give a large increment in permittivity onremoval of the field. This behavfour fs thought to be dcs to aggregation of the poly (beczyl-L-glutamate) molecules. The rate of deaggregation has been measured at various temperatures and suggests an activation energy of the order of 49 W mole-l.
