Two experiments were conducted to examine non-word reading strategies in dyslexia. In Experiment 1 children with developmental dyslexia were given non-word stimuli to read in isolation. The dyslexics produced fewer analogy responses (e.g. reading dalk to rhyme with talk) than did chronological age (
