✦ Synopsis

The new metabolite agaridiol (1) was isolated from cultures of Agaricus sp., and its structure was elucidated by mass spectrometric and NMR spectroscopic investigations. It shows moderate antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633.
