โœฆ Synopsis

A marked increase in prices of precious-metal catalysts, including those for cleaning automotive exhaust gas, and silica and alumina catalysts played a key role in the results. Domestic producers saw their shipments rise 8% in terms of volume and 32% in value terms to exceed Yen 300 bn. Exports of all catalysts reached 40,707 tonnes, up 23.2%, to Yen 79,575 M, up 34.6%. Imports of platinum and palladium catalysts for treating auto exhaust gas posted a 4.5% increase to 3,037 tonnes and 28.2% to Yen 44,764 M.

A mathematical model has been developed for the simulation of gas-particle flow and fluid catalytic cracking in downer reactors. The model takes into account both cracking reaction and flow behavior through a four-lump reaction kinetics coupled with two-phase turbulent flow. The prediction results s
