✦ Synopsis

Dynamic sealing

Even after shifting the Durasleeve 100 times, shifting force with this seal was up to 80% less than with conventional PEEK seals. Average shifting force to open or close is less than 500 lb. Conventional sliding sleeves require more than 1500 lb to open or close.

The improved system also provides a highly reliable seal between the tubing and casing annulus for the life of the well. The system has the ability to open with high differential pressure, reducing risks of annular pressure, reducing deferred production, workovers and slickline problems. Halliburton says the product has been successfully tested to 5000 lb/in2 external pressure and 325°F with no seal damage.
