About the reviewer Bj6rn Wittenmark was born in 1943. He received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1966 and Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control in 1973, both from Lund Institute of Technology. In 1970 he become senior lecturer and in 1989 professor in automatic control at Lund Institute of Technology. He is a Fellow of IEEE and has written numerous papers in the areas of adaptive control and digital control. He has co-authored the books: Computer Controlled Systems and Adaptive Control.
