Adsorptive stripping tensammetry at a lianging mercury drop electrode is described for aqueous solutions of various m o t ~r oils. The method can be used for the determination of oils in polluted waters in the concentration range from 0.4-0.8 t o 3.5-7 ppm, dependent on the type of oil. Distinction bemeen "pure" and "used" motor oil is made.
