✦ Synopsis
The adsorption of Tl(I) on the Hg electrode in thiocyanate-trifluoracetate media is studied by double-step chronocoulometry. The adsorption amount increases with the concentration of thioc anate and decreases when the potential becomes anodic. The results indicate that the species adsorbed is x SCN, and that no bridge mechanism takes place, as would be expected in adsorption induced by SCN-.
