Experimental data were obtained using a static system for adsorption of H&H4 mixtures at temperatures from 22 to 207ยฐC and pressures up to m4.1 MPa on PCB activated carbon, Pittsburgh bituminous coal, Pittsburgh coke, Montana lignite and Montana char. The ideal adsorbed solution theory of Myers and
Diffusion of methane from threecoals ranging in rank from anthracite to HVA bituminous has been studied at initial methane pressures up to about 2.76 MPa (400 psi). Unsteadystate diffusion conditions existed, the methane pressure within the coal particle decreasing with time while the methane pressu
The single component adsorption of methane and ethane and also the adsorption of binary mixtures of methane and ethane have been studied in a small fixed isothermal bed containing activated carbon. Results indicate that an empirical Langmuir isotherm fits the experimental data for single components.
