In order to explore the origin of the capacitance dispersion observed on solid electrodes, voltammetric and impedance measurements on single crystal gold electrodes have been carried out in the absence and presence of specifically adsorbed anions, mostly Br-. Evidence is presented showing that (i) i

The dependence of adsorption of chlorobenzene at the gold/electrolyte (0.5 M H2S04) interface on electrode potential, bulk concentration and temperature has been investigated using a "'C-radiotracer technique. For higher bulk concentrations of chlorobenzene, multilayer adsorption has been observed.
