✦ Synopsis
The adsorption of different chemical substances on microporous carbon adsorbents has been investigated. It has been determined that the chemical character of the molecules adsorbed as well as the adsorbent texture determine the adsorption kinetics. In the case of alcohols, one of the parameters determining the sorption mechanism is the formation of complexes. As was shown earlier, the rates of complex molecule formation for methyl and ethyl alcohols differ significantly.
