## Abstract Biodegradation of trichloroethylene(TCE) by toluene‐degrading bacteria was measured under aerobic conditions in aqueous and soil‐slurry batch microcosms. For soil‐phase experiments, a freshly contaminated soil and a soil containing only the desorption‐resistant fraction of TCE were test
