โฆ Synopsis
M et eo-France is developing a new code for operational weather forecasting that includes components both for the variational analysis of meteorological observations and for the prediction model itself. So, we need to prepare our code for the new generation of parallel machines. The parallel version of M et eo-France code ARPEGE (Action de Recherche Petite Echelle Grande Echelle) uses spectral computations for the dynamic. For the spectral part, we use the strategy developed at ECMWF (European Centre of Medium-Range Weather Forecasts). The full physics scheme and some options of the semi-Lagrangian are speciยฎc to our use of ARPEGE. In this paper, we present the dierent strategies used for the parallelization of M et eo-France forecasting code ARPEGE using the semi-Lagrangian scheme.

The paper presents some adaptive load balance techniques for the simulation of rarefied gas flows on parallel computers. It is shown that a static load balance is insufficient to obtain a scalable parallel efficiency. Hence, two adaptive techniques are investigated which are based on simple algorith
In this work, global solution approach for mathematical model consisting of set of hyperbolic partial, ordinary differential and algebraic equations of unsteady flow in a complex heterogeneous pipe network have been presented. The pipe network contains buffer tanks, valves, bends, pipe junctions, de
