โœฆ Synopsis

Network Associates plans to split into several independent companies, and will act as a holding company for the new units. The units will include four software development organizations, drawn from the company's existing divisions. PGP Security, Sniffer Technologies, McAfee and Magic Solutions provide network security, security assessment, anti-virus solutions and help-desk products, respectively. Each will continue to be owned by Network Associates.

McAfee.com Corp. and MyCIO.com will also operate under the auspices of the holding company. MyCIO.com will offer remote hosting and management of security applications to mid-size businesses.

Analysts say that more companies may follow the same path as Network Associates.

This paper deals with the problem of synchronization of a class of continuous-time chaotic systems using the driveresponse concept. An adaptive observer-based response system is designed to synchronize with a given chaotic drive system whose dynamical model is subjected to unknown parameters. Using
