✦ Synopsis

~t-Aminoalkylcopper reagents prepared from soluble CuX.2LiCI give modest to good yields of ct-aminoketones upon reaction with acid chlorides. Higher yields are generally obtained with CuC1-2LiCI than with CuCN-2LiC1. Improved yields can be obtained by utilization of cuprate reagents prepared from CuCN.2LiCI and 2.0 equivalents of ct-lithiocarbamates.
