✦ Synopsis


were absent; there was an elevated erythroid/myeloid ratio. After this treatment was completed, the child underwent prophylactic central nervous system therapy with cranial irradiation (2400 fads) and intratbecal methotrexate injections (10mg/m2/weeks x 8). Remission was maintained with 6-mercaptopurine (50 mg/m2/day) and methotrexate (20mg/m2/week). The child has now been in complete remission for 20 months.
