This paper reports on a Q-switched Er-doped fiber laser using the stress dependence of a wavelength of reflected light from fiber Bragg gratings. The laser cavity consists of a 0.5-m-long Er-doped fiber and two fiber gratings (FG) attached at both ends of the fiber. The pump laser is a 1.48 mm semic
## Abstract A simple switchable dualโwavelength Erโdoped fiberโring laser using a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) written in highโbirefringence (HiBi) fibers is proposed. Due to the twoโpeak reflections with orthogonal polarizations of the FBG, the polarization holeโburning effect in the cavity is greatl
We report on the dual-wavelength operation in an erbium-doped fiber ring laser mode-locked through nonlinear polarization rotation technique. In addition to dual-wavelength continuous wave operation, alternative mode-locking at the dual wavelengths was realized experimentally. By analyzing the trans
