Пособие Active Vocabulary Book предназначено для студентов, обучающихся по программе углубленный английский язык специальности «Международные отношения» (031900.62). Оно содержит активный вокабуляр по 17 темам по дисциплине практика устной речи и включает 1700 единиц, по 100 единиц на каждую тему. Лексические единицы расположены в тематически организованном порядке по принципу словарных статей, что значительно облегчает их усвоение, а их количество определено с учетом количества часов, отводимых на дисциплину. Пособие имеет большую практическую ценность, т.к. оно охватывает все изучаемые сферы общения: бытовую, трудовую и культурную. Так как данное пособие является модернизированным и дополненным вариантом пособия ACTIVE VOCABULARY BOOK (part I, part II), изданного в издательстве ВГУЭС в 1999 году, мы сочли целесообразным указать авторов первого и второго изданий пособия.
